Terms of use

Last updated: 31 October 2026

By using totalpdftools.com (the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Total PDF Tools provides free tools that process PDF, image and text files inside your web browser. We do not receive, store or have access to the files you process with the tools. Optional cloud storage only receives files you explicitly choose to save. Features may change, be added or be removed at any time.

2. Your files and responsibility

3. Accounts and cloud storage

An account is optional and only needed for cloud storage. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for activity on your account. Store only files you have the right to store. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (for example, to distribute illegal content). You can delete your files or your account at any time.

4. Paid plans, renewal and cancellation

5. Electronic signatures

The Sign PDF tool places a visual signature image on a document. It is not a certificate-based digital signature. Whether it is legally sufficient for a particular purpose depends on your jurisdiction and the agreement — you are responsible for checking.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We work hard to produce correct, valid output and check every PDF before offering it for download, but we can't guarantee that results will be error-free or suitable for every purpose. Always review important documents.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Total PDF Tools is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

8. Advertising and third parties

The Service may display ads from third parties such as Google. Third-party sites and services have their own terms and policies.

9. Open source

The Service includes open-source software under its own licenses (Apache-2.0, MIT, OFL and others). See open-source licenses.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
