About Crop PDF
Cropping removes distracting white space so pages read better on phones and e-readers, and lets you focus on a specific region such as a figure or a receipt on a scanned sheet.
Drag the box or its handles on the preview of any page; the same margins are applied proportionally to every page you choose. The crop is stored in the PDF's crop box, so the content isn't rasterized.
Tips for best results
- Check a few pages with the page arrows before applying to the whole document.
- Want pages at a standard paper size instead? Use Resize Pages.
- Content outside the crop box is hidden, not deleted — keep that in mind for sensitive data.
How your file stays on your device
Crop PDF runs entirely inside your web browser. When you choose a file, your browser reads it into memory on your own device, a background Web Worker does the processing, and the result is handed straight back to you as a download. There is no upload step, no server that receives your document and no copy kept anywhere — close the tab and it is gone. That makes it safe for contracts, IDs, medical letters and anything else you would rather not send to a stranger's server. How in-browser processing works
FAQ
Crop PDF: frequently asked questions
Is the cropped content deleted?
Content outside the crop area is hidden by the PDF's crop box. It is not visible or printed, but remains in the file — use Flatten or print-to-PDF if it must be removed entirely.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Cropping happens entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
