About Rotate PDF
Phone scans and mixed-orientation reports often contain pages that appear sideways or upside down. Rotating them permanently means the file opens correctly in every viewer, on every device, for everyone you share it with.
Rotation only changes the page's orientation setting, so the content is not re-rendered and there is no quality loss. Because the document is edited in place, bookmarks, links and form fields remain exactly where they were.
Tips for best results
- Rotate all pages first, then fix the few exceptions individually.
- Thumbnails show the new orientation before you save.
- Scanned at an angle rather than sideways? Use Scan to PDF with corner correction.
How your file stays on your device
Rotate PDF runs entirely inside your web browser. When you choose a file, your browser reads it into memory on your own device, a background Web Worker does the processing, and the result is handed straight back to you as a download. There is no upload step, no server that receives your document and no copy kept anywhere — close the tab and it is gone. That makes it safe for contracts, IDs, medical letters and anything else you would rather not send to a stranger's server. How in-browser processing works
FAQ
Rotate PDF: frequently asked questions
Is the rotation permanent?
Yes. The saved PDF opens rotated in every viewer.
Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Only the page orientation flag changes; the content itself is untouched.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Rotation happens entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
